ACT Registration

The ACT is given to all Juniors in the spring during the school day (usually in March).  However, we encourage students to take the test more than once to improve their scores. 

 Upcoming ACT Test Dates

  • September 12, 2009 (Regular Registration deadline: 8/7/09, Late Registration deadline: 8/21/09)
  • October 24, 2009 (Regular Registration deadline: 9/18/09, Late Registration deadline: 10/2/09)
  • December 12, 2009 (Regular Registration deadline: 11/6/09, Late Registration deadline: 11/20/09)
  • February 6, 2010 (Regular Registration deadline: 1/05/10, Late Registration deadline: 1/15/10)
  • April 10, 2010 (Regular Registration deadline: 3/5/10, Late Registration deadline: 3/19/10)
  • June 12, 2010 (Regular Registration deadline: 5/7/10, Late Registration deadline: 5/21/10)
The best way to register is online at www.actstudent.org .  The guidance office also has registration packets.
At the website above, students can access test preparation information.  Additionally, the guidance office has test prep books that students may check out. 
Also, all Freshmen and Sophomores take the PLAN test in the fall, which is made by the makers of the ACT and is generally a predictor of how students will perform on the ACT.  You can email your child's counselor for more details.  (See the guidance staff page for email addresses.)  Information about the PLAN test is available at www.act.org/plan
